Looking

Why is it that when someone puts an ad on the board for a dog or pups for sell that they always put a price in their ad. But when someone puts an ad on here saying that they are looking for a dog or pup, they never put how much money that they are want to pay.

I USELY DONT COMMENT ON POST ON HERE BUT I FEEL LIKE THIS WAS DIRECTED AT ME.. LET ME SEE IF I CAN EXPLAIN IT FOR YOU. IF YOU GOT A DOG FOR SALE SELLERS PUT THE PRICE ON IT..NOT THE BUYER !!!! SO IF YOU GOT ONE FOR SALE PRICE HIM ..NEVER HEARD OF A BUYER PRICEING FOR THE SELLER...HOPE THAT HELPS YOU TO UNDERSTAND ..

It actually wasn't directed at you. I see "looking" posts on here all of the time. Usually they sound like someone is looking for a dog that isn't neccesarily "for sale" but one that "could be bought". If someone has a dog for sale, they usually post it with a price. I would think that someone that has a particular type of dog in mind would know how much they are willing to pay for that dog. It also stands to reason that the person initiating the buying/selling process would set the price. But maybe that isn't the case. Again, I am not just talking about you, Kenneth. I was thinking this a couple of days ago and then I saw your post.

Do you think that the price of a dog is going to change the dog's traits or how good or bad the dog is?

Some people are willing to pay $500 for a $50 dog.

Some people are only willing to pay $50 for a $500 dog.

Some people are only looking for and willing to pay $50 for a $50 dog.
Some people are looking for and willing to pay $500 for a dog.

If they don't say they are looking for a $50 or $500 dog then how is anyone supposed to know? Buying or selling a dog is a very complicated process. Sometimes it can take years to find the right one.

Go to a cow sale and tell the auctioneer what you are willing to pay for the type cattle youre looking for, Ill guarantee thats what they are going to cost you, worth it or not..........sounds like youre trying to set someone up!!!!

If you go to a cow sale, then it is easy to see what the type of cow you are looking for is worth.... whatever someone is willing to pay. And if you are looking for a really nice top cow, do you think that you will find it at an auction?

Every Day at the right barn........only roughly 20 percent of the cattle traded are off the farm or private deals.......but this is still a scam on your end trying to find out what someone has in their piggy bank to spend, fact of the matter is your dog is worth what someone is willing to pay, not how much money you know they are willing to spend........but nice try.........

I don't actually know about cattle sales since I don't go to them or hang out at sale barns. People always say that a dog is worth what someone will pay. Is that really true? A dog is worth what they are worth. Some people are only willing to pay $500 for a $1,000 dog. Does that mean the dog is only worth $500? Some people really like a $1,000 dog and are willing to pay $1,500 for it. Does that mean that the dog is worth $1,500? Maybe a dog is really worth what the seller is willing to take for it. That makes about as much sense.

Well darn, you figured it out. You are just way too smart for me.

When you take a cow to an auction. do you tell the auctioneer how much you want for it or do the buyers tell him how much they are willing to pay when they bid?

If someone can make any sense out of that nonsense, they need to be enrolled in the space program!!!!!
