Scooter hunts good alone or with others, he does his own thing, covers a lot of ground in the area he is turned loose in. He generally ranges 500-800 yards and covers most of that. He has a good mouth, he’s tight on the ground, sometimes he opens and sometimes he doesn’t. He’s got a big locate and is a good chop mouth tree dog and is accurate, a good 75-80 percent at least. He isn’t mean anywhere and isn’t trashy. He has a good handle and is tone broke.

If I had to fault him for anything it would be that he is picky with his trees. He will come treed, tree for a little bit and then check his self, and if he’s not sure he will do this more than once. If he thinks he’s got it then he’s staying, if it has went on then he’s going with it. I don’t mind it because I walk to more coons than not but I know some want them to slam it and stay right or wrong. This is a nice dog that doesn’t give much trouble anywhere and is just a nice hound to tree coons with. I have pics and videos I can send.
