My wife and I have a program on our phones called life 360. We can see exactly where each other is at all times-well within phone reception. I normally hunt within a few miles of home and it's not uncommon for me to call her to come give me a lift. With life 360 I don't need to give any directions, she just tracks me down and if something was to happen to me she'd be able to tell where I was and when I was last moving. Just something you might look into.
