jim,
has a upper level mouth in the redbone breed and he is putting it in his pups. jim is the loudest, hardest treeing redbone that I have personally heard so far in the 5 years I been hunting redbones. he strikes in good opens here and there then lets out a long bawl locate and rolls it over to 100 plus a minute chop on the tree. this line of hounds are hard hunting accurate tree dogs that don't need a track to tree. I had a pup here out of cat that I thought was pretty loud until I heard him with rex,s pup off jim on a tree not to long ago. jim has a lot to offer to the redbone breed he will add hunt, drive, and mouth. hope this helps .

sounds like you guys will be making some nice crosses! im pretty excited about the next few years to see what becomes of theses pups. there will be a few other crosses on some of these dogs that im looking forward to see happen . we need to cross these on some more open trailing dogs to add more strike power. good luck!!

I have hunted with and against Jim several times. I liked what I saw he has the hunt drive and a mouth that I like. Overall what I liked the most was he was consistant each time I hunted with him. I have 3 pups out of him now two males out of Ragged Ridge Reba and one female out of Nitech Leinie (Ttop breed). The female is only 6 months old and she has a horn on her. I have seen enough out of her that I am sure she will turn out to be something nice.

How about one gen back on Heidi? Fireball bloodlines seem to cross pretty good on Rusty Red bloodlines. Just look at this cross and the Steve-O X Chilli cross. I wonder how a pretty nice little Haze female would cross on Jim?

You are exactly right, John Henry's daddy was Banjo III also. John and Jim are half brothers.

Todd, Wendy should come in heat sometime in Jan. Now that is quite a bit of Fireball and a whole lot of Rusty Red. But if you go on back a few generations, that is a TREMENDOUS amount of Gr Nt Ch Hayes Rambling Red Ace.

jim

I've seen him off and on since he was 2 years old, not only is he loud and hard hunting, he can tree layups, run a coon down and catch it, hunt in the corn up north, in the swamps down here and tree coon in the mountains. He is one of the most intelligent hounds you will see.. Jim is for real.. Rex will treat anyone one right and is a stand up guy..
