Black & Tan Family, due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected every facet of our lives, the unfortunate decision to cancel B&T Days has been made for us. I have attached a copy of the email our Vice-President, Kenneth Laroux received yesterday from the Clay County (Flora), Illinois Board of Health. As you can see, the decision to cancel was made for us, and not by us. We hold no ill will towards Clay County or Flora, IL, as it has been our home away from home for many years. The health department in Clay County takes orders from above, and that is really all there is to say. We understand that there will be many questions at this time, questions of why we can't have it somewhere else, how will the yearbooks be delivered, what happens to the Board of Directors and Executive Board, Champions Classic, etc. Please know we have worked tirelessly to find answers and are still working on finding those answers. Long term planning is impossible at this point, which in turn made changing locations impossible. As for the rest of the questions above, we don't have an answer yet, and may not for several months, but rest assured we are working to find them. As we have more information, we will release it via our social media platforms, newsletters, group texting, etc. The bottom line for now, unfortunately, is that B&T Days will not happen for us in 2020. At this time, with humble and open hearts, we ask all of our members that were waiting for B&T Days to renew their membership, to please do so now, via our website, www.abtcha.net. There, you will find options for both online and mail-in renewals. Without our members, we do not have an Association, and we appreciate each and every one of you more than we can say with words.

I’m not being funny, but look at Republican run states. They seem to be opening things up quicker. I would suggest Indiana. With so many cancellations, maybe some locations that hold hunts normally, have some openings. B&T days is a great event. Hate it not to happen.
