First thanks for the quick response to the problem I had yesterday. You made the answer sound too easy.
Now for todays question. In registering puppies and nominating performance puppies there is really no requirement for them to be DNA profiled. Is that correct?
I know when a pup is nominated (think I know) you send a DNA test kit for that pup. As I have a pup out of my performance sire a friend gave me and there was a DNA kit along with the papers.
Here is how I understand your DNA program with coonhounds.
1. Only Performance Sires are required to have a DNA profile done.
2. DNA Profile not required for any other dogs (dam, pups) just recommended. I realize at any time DNA sample can be requested by UKC to prove parentage.
