UKC Hound/Cur hunts

Will UKC let a club host a cur night hunt on the same night as a hound hunt. Will curs and hounds ever be cast out together on a UKC hunt.

The answer to your two seperate questions is:

Yes, a club can host a cur hunt on the same night they host a hound hunt

The second answer is likely NO. They won't allow quarter horses to run the Kentucky Derby, or let flushing dogs hunt in a pointing dog field trial.....

No, the fact is they wont' allow it In order to run the derby, the horse has to be registered Thourobred, to be entered in a pointing dog trial, the dogs must be registered as one of the pointing breeds......

I personally would love to hunt in a cur only UKC hunt. I have a pretty big cur that can hold his own at 55 lbs. but a lot of curs would get pushed off the tree by some of the rough hounds you encounter in the hunts and for that reason I would like to see it survive as a cur only completion. I think there will be enough curs show up for a couple of cast min.
