To start a cur ?

What’s best way to start a pup ?? He’s 9 weeks old and my first cur pup I’ve always had hounds can someone walk me through the steps I should take

My opinion throw the darn drags in the trash and just get her somewhere where there is squirrel and let it happen. Use drags and young dogs run around all day with there nose in the ground and thats hard to break. Jmo

I put mine in the training pen with a dog that will tree. Closest thing to letting one run loose.
