If you haven't noticed UKC is losing out on a lot of hunters going to the other KC's this is going to help local entries where numbers have been way down. I hunt both like a UKC better but when you have guys that travel over 100 miles through the week just to hunt a local other KC event then there's an opportunity for UKC to draw them. That's what it's about for me. Fact is if UKC doesn't do something like this the performance program will die. I bred a female to a UKC world ch Autumn oaks winner he wasn't a performance stud. Do you know how many dogs that guy breeds. That tells me you have to entice people to want there studs paid up.

The payout has to be higher to keep interest and bring up attendance. The postage, processing, and envelope cost a few dollars why not put the money back in the program? $3 x 1000 checks under $50 is $3000 not counting amount of check. If Half the studs stop paying the amount will stay the same. Do you think half will stop if Per.Points go up a few hundred dollar$?

This program is not set up for guys to bring Grandnites to local hunts. If you do and there's only two dogs that's no points or payout. The guys take there grands to other KC's to hunt because we have no reason for them to hunt local hunts. You have to put something in place to make guys want to hunt local hunts. Five casts wins in a year to be qualified for a major money hunt is the way to go.

I agree, if they'll fix the NITE CH. title to 5 cast wins like it should be people will have the opportunity to hunt the same dog a lil longer and make additional points along the way.

Performance nominated as a litter

Is there another fee, when you
register the pup permanently to qualify for points?

First the dam must have been bred to a Performance sire and the litter to have been either permanently nominated ($150 fee for entire litter then no additional fees for the life of the pup) or nominated (additional fee of $30 to nominate the litter then $30 per pup up to 6 months of age, $100 per pup 6-12 mo old. Pups older than12 mo cannot be paid up into the program).
