I had 9 cw last year and got paid on the sire for 7 other wins a pup or 2 had out of him and my check was under 150.00. I don’t know what a point was worth or how many I had. I feel the program needs reworked somehow. JMO

Thank you for that great deal of information Sonny that tells me a lot. So 9 CW on average of $25 entry not counting gas, food to go to hunt is $225. And you made less than $150 for 9 CW and pay back on your sire for 7 pup cw. Doesn’t seem worth the hassle of the paperwork or money to mess with performance program. Maybe scrap the program and put the remaining funds into the Tournament of Champions.

The funds are completely paid out each year. Ending it would be as easy as terminating the program at the end of the year, paying out owed points and not renewing next year.

I hear that Lance! Thanks for sharing that. The performance program started out with a bang and I remember when it started but it has dwindled to pocket change. Was a great idea and great run but we need visionaries that can engineer programs like performance to keep up with making sure the rewards are worth the efforts!!

Oh my goodness, I think that your questions are purely rhetorical and y'all just want to complain but here you go anyway....

Checks have been mailed out and you should have gotten one by now if you have any money coming.

Point gross value for 2021 is $48.328.

Points are not awarded just on cast wins. You could get 20 cast wins and not get any points. You have to place in top 3 and then points awarded are based on number of entries.

Awards are way down because more dogs are winning points. It is simple economics, more dogs earning points with the fund not going up means that each point value has to go down. The only way to increase point value is to increase the Performance Fund total. The only way to do that is to either increase price to Performance register pups and Performance Sires or to get a sponsor to donate big money to the fund.

I paid the $100 for my dog to be in the Performance program and $100 for dna klts and I can't get UKC to send me the kits so my dog can be in the program and its almost 6 months in.

I've gotten several checks for anywhere fron a few hundred to several hundred. But like Richard says, with cost not going up to enter the program or nominate the stud dog and more dogs earning points it has definitely dropped way off. However still foolish to not pay 30 bucks to have your dog enrolled for life.

Enter 1 double header and win a couple points and it's payed off. If you have aby intent whatsoever to compete with the dog pay the 30 bucks.
