New light opinions

I know this topic is as old as bread but my light is about shot & I'm looking to buy a new one. What's the brightest out there now? I'm leaning towards the Sunspot Inferno.

The Reaper double death is getting great reviews. Guys say it's the brightest yet. I don't have experience with it though.

Lights.....

The Reaper was the Brightest, Yep it's True---
Now they have the Double Death Reaper, I don't have one yet but I do have one on its way---But there is No doubt it is THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT that Money can Buy !!!!!
Don't Buy another & Hope it's Brighter---Because it won't be.
The Absolute Best Walklight you will find...!!!
The Regular Reaper or the Double Death will Make you Happy...!!!

If you have never owned a Coonhunting Light, then there are several you would be Happy with---But skip all that and go to the Top with a Reaper or Double Death...!!

I am like that Insurance Commercial ---I know a thing or two, because I have seen a thing or two...!!!

I second that! I've got the Reaper and the Reaper Double Death. They just can't be beat. I've had several Sunspots and Boss Hotspots, both great lights but nothing compares to the Reaper and the Reaper DD in my opinion.

It just does not matter which one you go with now, if it's the 'latest greatest" one on the market when you buy it it won't be six months later LOL. I do own a Sunspot Horizon which I believe is the same basic light as the Inferno, the Inferno might just be a tad brighter. I really do like my Horizon allot. I don't think you could go wrong with a Sunspot light JMO.

I just got a new sunspot inferno the other day. It is a very nice light. I also have a sunspot horizon that I was hunting with before I received the inferno. these sunspot lights can take a beating and are very bright. Awesome walking lights on the inferno. Sunspot are very dependable and the owner is easy to get in touch with. After hunting with sunspot lights for several years, I have no desire to try anything else.

What 'color' is light of Reaper{s}?

Bright LED white, that blends all dark colors together at night?
Or 'yellow' soft white that you can tell colors at night?

There is huge difference is bright lights if the 'color' isn't right for
coon hunting.Bright white sucks at night w/leaves on.

When these LED Lights first came out, I couldn't see a Coon against a tree limb for nothing. This Reaper is Bright White......But something is different in a good way.....at least for me. The Coon & Fur just stands out So much better for me. This Reaper doesn't blend everything together, and this is just one reason I like this Light.

light

Big Dog makes a great light. Very light plenty bright and the best color for me. The balance is perfect and If you can't find the coon with a big dog light it's not there.

Boss and big dog are good companies..

Best Buy I've found is Super star lights from Hillsboro Ohio.. $180 with 2 colors and it is BRIGHT! Balanced pretty well and holds charge as good or better than others I've had!

You are correct, ....Boss & Big Dog are both Good Companies and build good Lights.
Where the Reaper Lights excel beyond other Lights is their Walklight .....it doesn't get any better than the Reaper.

You mentioned the Super Star Lights......I have never heard of them, must be something New ?
Where can anyone find some info on them ?
Thanks
Tim

Several options for good lights out there today. Boss, Sunspot, Big Dog, Superior, Bright Eyes, all great lights. You just gotta try them out and see which one is best for you. What puts the Reaper Double Death at the top for me is the main beam. I want a light that has a good white walk light, and two colors like red and amber. Sunspot has a great walk light and two colors but it's main beam is the soft white color. I know a lot of guys like that but I don't. I cant see detail nearly as well in big tall trees in the winter time with the soft white light. I like a bright white main beam and the Double Death has that along with the other options that I mentioned above.

There are several light builders that represent our sport very well .I see them donate lights at alot of hunts to be given away .but I can't walk away or turn my head at a lifetime warranty.I'm running the sunspot mini and I have no problem finding coon in any tree .no toggle switches no runway lights mounted on the head. just one coondog and a 70000 lux light and a lifetime warranty

I have a Voodoo + by Cajun and it's brighter than that.. seems pretty comparable to others I've hunted with.. not really sure what lights they are using though

It doesn't have a walk light setting. 4 clicks of white light and one click each of red/amber.

That's about the only thing I've seen that's any different than other lights
