Are photos now required for registration? I don't remember doing this before. I submitted an application and received a letter asking for photos. However the application I submitted was for a 9 week old puppy, lol. He is full AKC registered (as are both parents). If you are asked to provide photos does that mean there is some doubt about the pedigree of the dog?

Photos are required for certain breeds. This is just to verify that the dog meets our breed standards.

I am submitting the photos. However the dog in question is 8 weeks old in the photos, so I don't really see how it can be judged to breed standard at this time? Are fully registered dogs denied based on photographs?

Normally not, but each application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This includes the photos.
