You can find good track dogs in just about every line.

I'd rather have a great track dog then tree dog if you get both in one dog that's great but I prefer a good track dog over a tree dog that's just my opinion

It is great to have both. I would prefer a good track dog over just a tree dog also. A lot of great tree dogs that are weak track dogs usually get too many slick trees from my experience. Where I live in the hills of West Virginia, you need a strong, determined track dog. Nothing gets me more upset than going to a slick tree time after time after just climbing one of these hills to the ridge top. Having said that, I still want a stay put tree dog. It just doesn't have to tree real hard for me. What impresses me the most is having the coon after a long chase.

Just My Opinion

Gary you hit the nail on the head!!

Sir to try and answer your question…. In my opinion there is no such thing as the best line of dogs! Regardless of what some guys get on here and say, there is strengths and weakness in all, You have to look for what you like in a dog, and look at what you are willing to put up with in weakness. Some dogs have traits that some people love, while others hate… So just like Fords, and Chevy's its a personal preference and what you like. Try not to get caught up in all the hype, You will save yourself a lot of money, and headache.
