I think it is a good quality feed. I wish they had some higher protein and fat content that would be one of my only complaints.

The least protein % they make is 26% I think. Most of their food is 30-32% with at least 20% fat. I’ve fed it for a while. It’s good food.

I feed it as well. Dog does really well on it. My brother just switched from feeding that to something else. I can't remember the name off the top of my head at the moment though, all the old man jokes I have told have come back to bite me. He was telling me that it is made by the same company as taste of the wild and is little more economical in price, at least at TSC.

I know they have some 30 and 32% protein feeds but the fat content is only 20% or a little more. I like 35-25 or something similar.

I have been feeding it for a year now ( High Prairie, yellow bag ) 32% protein 18% fat content. Good stools, normal heat cycles. I have been very pleased with it overal! And yes it is expensive but I’m only feeding it to one dog!

You guys must be rich! I have 3 hounds in kennels and my wife has a indoor dog. All she buys him is taste of the wild and its around 40 dollars for 20 pounds of feed if im not mistaken.

I feed my hounds purple bag of victor and I mix it with a feed called River Run 30- 20.

Taste Of The Wild is made by Diamond dog feeds. Google it, they make several others all with the same ingredients. Kinda like I went with my daughter to a field trip to the Mayfield dairy in Athens TN owned by Dean foods. They sell several different types of milk all out of the same assembly line. Dean, Mayfield, dairy values are all the same milk. Same milk, different jugs, all priced differently.

A lot of company’s produce different brands. The differences are the way they are produced. Even feed produced in the same facility with the same protein and fat content will differ. Some feeds use cheaper ingredients than others. Therefore there is a difference in price and just because it cost more doesn’t mean it’s better. I know some will say they won’t pay $50 for a bag of feed but they buy 2 bags that cost $50 and the feed last the same amount of time
