Well I looked hard for an answer I needed for my question and never found it...my question is...are nasal mites blood suckers? My bet is that they are...

Some of the symptoms I read about are blood in the Nasal discharge and irritated nasal passages...

I also read that ivermectin works as a treatment as well as many others that I’m willing to bet will not work...only a treatment...

If it were my dog and I was sure it didn’t have heart worms I would give at least 75-100 lbs worth of the 1.87 percent ivermectin paste today and again in 7 days...
Mix it with a small portion of tasty soup mixture and dog food and the dog will wolf it down...

This will kill the adults and when the eggs hatch it will get them too...

That is how I treat ear mites and mange mites...
Years ago all those mite meds that were high dollar didn’t work unless you followed directions exactly as on the label and then again when the eggs hatched...

You might want to give it a try...

I have no experience in dealing with this but get him a flea and tick pill like Nexgard or Bravecto they also kill mites. Call your vet. They like any mite are contagious so he will need isolated from other dogs and any with close contact could possibly have them also. Clean out his dog house of any bedding and spray it down with permethrin.

Every time my nose goes to itchen it’s because the hair in it is getting long enough for the wind to hit it.

Beats me.
