They generally alternate between north and south so next year would be south I figure.
I think eastern Mo. would be a nice compromise but a location that can assure good guides and judges plus decent grounds for the shows is always a major concern.
But next year will prolly be south.

Decatur Tennessee is a great place for the finals. Enough coon population for decent scores to come in, but not overpopulated, plenty of quality guides and lots of varying terrain. Even redbones can tree coons down there. lol.

Whenever they get ready for West pull out a map of the U.S. pin point the center and then give me a call.
And the hunting is way better than Ada. OK. water crops, river bottoms and pecan groves no need to go to the rough stuff with only 25 casts.

I would be refreshed and revitalized to have to only drive 4 1/2 hrs to a major hunt x2.

I'm up for having it right at home! Probably would be the year I couldn't get anything qualified...

You just didnt draw the right guide . There is some GREAT hunting south of Ada !! - Lots of Coon and there are pecans there too. Just all depends on where you go.

I scored 775+ on one round , so I was in some good Coon population..... over all I can’t complain about it too much. It’s just a long way from me and too many snakes, chiggers and dillers! Plus if we get it close enough for TAR to make it and then he goes and wins the thing, we will never live it down!! 😎. Lol

I only live 60 miles south of Ada. I think it was 3 yrs ago when they had the zones at Ada they came down and here I guided them they scored on 5 singles in this jungle and was happy. A lot of the winning cast at Ada in years past was down here.

Alan Stonechiper was my guide a couple rounds. He had some of the better hunting I was told. I believe John Day guided the solo round.

I think where they had the zones at this past year in Tennessee would be a great location for the 2019 World hunt. I think it's a good Fair location it's not up north and it's really not down south it's kind of in between

Probably lol. I remember we had some friends come down from PA and one of them spent two nights running around in the bushes trying to catch one, we couldn't even find a road kill that weekend.

location, location, location

Yes, that is the big question that comes up every year after the world hunt finals are over. This year more than ever the location will have a huge impact on the numbers that will attend the RQE's in the upcoming year. Without the hunters who attend RQE's just because a cast win is a win for the NTCH's and a first for the registered dogs if they got in the top 3, I look for the numbers to take a hard hit as it is. No matter where you hold the hunt a lot of people will cry and whine about it, the biggest question is which location can get hunters motivated to try and qualify to get there. Most of the hunting I do in the coming year will most likely be in the PKC house but getting to the UKC finals again is something I will pursue as long as I hunt.
