A good person to ask is the postman, if they deliver mail in your area. They stop at every house in the area and also they ride the sides of the roads slow if the dog were to get hit by a vehicle. Certainly hope that's not the case! Best of luck hope u find him!

Hope you find your hound, last time i had one get loose she ended up 5 miles away. One thing I've noticed over the years of dogs getting loose is they go in the direction the wind is coming out of.
