Bellars Pac Man

I am interested in finding out more about Pac Man. Does anyone know which issues of the coon hound magazines have articles on him?

pacman was in his prime in the mid to late 80's.

he was in the final cast of the ukc world hunt 3 straight years and placed in the top 20 of 11 world hunts.

He was extremely loud. Very Very Loud. He produced very well, a few WORLD CHAMPIONS. He was most likely a better reproducer than many. His decendants continue to reproduce very well. He would stay treed with a rough dog.

From what I've been told by hunters that had been in woods with him, he was as tough a hound that was...Not only was he a great tree hound, he could really move a track.. He legacy lives on with some of decendants of today..I hunt a grandson of his today and at 8 1/2 yrs old still getting it done..Certainly not as fancy as Pacman a truly great coonhound..

He was a good looking walker for sure, i never really liked his color but he was built to get where he was going and fast, with good legs and feet, my kinda hound
too much black but he he had enough white on him to make him look better

Lester Nance

thank you Lester Nance.

in 1944 Lester Nance advertised the first treeing walker pups for sale , he said he didn’t breed for length of ear but "what was between the ears. " two years later ukc started to register them and the rest is history. a lot of us owe Lester Nance a great deal.
