Oh my goodness, they interviewed the nurse that got the first shot on TV this morning. She said that she was fine. She said that she was afraid to get the shot but that she was more afraid of getting Covid.

Shots

My hunting partner age 82 nearly 83 Jan 2021 has had Covid for the past 3 weeks and has suffered greatly, still not over it. I can guarantee he would have taken the shot if he had a choice between any side effects and what Covid ACTUALLY does to you. He is one tough old rascal and Covid has beat him down, extreme pain, loss of appetite, weakness, can barely walk. Yes, there may be some side effects of the vaccine, BUT it sure beats the disease that KILLS, CRIPPLES, and make you want to die. I agree with my Doctor friends and WILL get the vaccine when available. Dave

Again it is an individual thing. The risks outweigh the benefits for a young healthy person, the benefits outweigh the risks for a person of advanced age and comorbidities.

You need to discuss it with your doctor before you decide if you need it or not. I am urging my parents and brother to take it. I don't need it because me and my family are immune due to having it already.

It is an individual risk vs benefit discussion.

"From what I've heard"???? Oh my goodness, what a statement. Where in the world did you "hear" that?

That is like "long term effects" of either Covid 19 or the vaccine. Give me a break. The vaccine has been given to people for less than 6-7 months and Covid 19 has been around for less than 10-11 months. Long term effects? Really?

Here is a "real" statistic for you...0% of the people that have been given the vaccination have died.

I've had covid. To me i've had worse flu symptoms I know everyone is affected differently. it affected my wife worse then me. I for one will not be taking it. The wife's DR. already told her not to get vaccinated got the email today. I for one don't believe the numbers that the government has been putting out there on actual covid deaths or positive cases.

If the covid numbers are correct, it has completely cured the flu.

That's because unless she is immunocompromised the risk of the vaccination is greater than the benefit for her. She had the disease. She is immune. She doesn't need the vaccine and it would be taking it away from someone that does.

This is why you should make your decision with your doctor. I wish I could give my dose to my dad because it will kill him if he gets it but I can't do that. I can just refuse my turn because I am immune.

Like everything else the media doesn't understand the science but they give misinformation and sway public opinion and cause things like unneeded mask shortages................

I know for a fact that all deaths called Covid deaths are not accurate and often times COVID is blamed when in fact death is due to underlying conditions such as CHF or dementia.

Mutant Covid

I just saw a chart on the original Covid and the new mutant...
the chart does not agree with the news media but maybe the chart is wrong...
My interpretation of the chart...the mutant was there in January but was consistently a small percentage along the bottom of the chart...the percentage was the same each month until October 11 when it slowly started ramping up...the original Covid start falling off and the combined totals between the two versions dropped from the expected and normal trajectory...

The chart trajectory really started growing exponentially around 12-4-20 which is expected due to thanksgiving and the Christmas holiday preparations...

The thing I see is that the trajectory of cases would have been the same if it were the original virus...The expected combined is the same...

According to the chart the infection rate is the same...the mutant appears to be dominant over the original and in a few months the original will be gone and we will be dealing with the Mutant...

the news media is saying the infection rate of the Mutant is 70 percent greater than the original Covid...the original Covid is disappearing fast and the mutant will pass it up quickly but the actual infection rate according to the trend is basically the same...confusing to me...

I'm not saying I am right...just reading the chart as I see it...

I also read that the vaccine was just as effective against the mutant strain because they were both Covid. They also said that the mutant strain did not make people as sick as the original. But I guess that the chart doesn't show that.

oOk...to make it simple on account my previous post sounds very confusing...

The chart shows the Mutant is taking over and the original is disappearing...

but the infection rate appears to be as if it was the only the original...the infection rate is normal as expected...

It appears that the infection rate is growing faster because of the higher numbers due to the holidays (exponential growth) and not because of the new Mutant...

Richard...that's good news...

Yes, sometimes you can't take the Main Stream media at face value. They believe in sensationalism.

All of the press coverage about the new variant of the virus in the UK but not a word about the new Moderna vaccine being shipped out today. How typical.

It depends on whether or not the mutation affects the envelope of the virus that our immune system uses to detect a foreign entity.

If it doesn't involve that we are good and previous exposure or the vaccine will make you immune to that one as well.

So if you were prescribed it then your doc believes in it. From my research I have seen some benefit but again like other things studies go both ways. I believe Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, Remdesevier, Vitamin D, C , zinc and the Z pack all have their place.

My hospital has one of the best survival and recovery rates in the state and that is because we hit everyone with everything ASAP. I think early treatment is key.

I would not be afraid of ivermectin but I can't say what to do because I am not your doctor and you are not my patient so I can't give you advice.

That said if my doctor prescribed it I would take it but if you are better, well you can't fix getting better.

A friend of ours in SE Kansas has been prescribed it also. There are studies that are proving it to be very effective and treating and preventing the virus. Your doctor is not alone in prescribing it and it is not a new experimental drug. If nothing else if you have a parasite your getting wormed too!
