Out of curiosity, how many pups does Woodrow & Crockett have out there? Also how many Nt Ch & Gr Nt’s does each have? I have tried to find it but can’t figure out where it would be, thanks

Crocket has 62 registered pups and Woodrow has 57

Excuse my ignorance, I’m no breeder I just like to hunt. I was thinking I read that you have to have 100 pups to be on the reproducers list. Maybe I misinterpreted what I read. Number of titled dogs??

that's right Crocket has 108 and Woodrow 101 but not all have been registered so I listed the number of registered pups as seen on the reproducers list. Crocket has 3 titled dogs so far and Woodrow has 1 so far.

So you have to have 100 pups out of a male dog & only 1 of them need to get a title to make the reproducers list? Is that correct?

yes it's like having 400 pups and having 4 titled dogs. Woodrow is young and his pups are still too young to go to town . by the time he has 200 pups his percentages will be better.

400/4 300/3 200/2 100/1 dont matter percentages suck. its one percent any way you look at it...........its absolutely disgusting a bluetick hound can get on the reproducers list at one percent.................

I’m sure his numbers will go up some & im sure he is a nice hound. Since Crockett has passed on,how old is his youngest pups & do you think his percentage will go up?

youngest are 10 months I think and yes his percentage should go up if the hounds with wins continue going to town and if I can get some handlers for my females they will finish out. I've got too many but dont want to let my females go.

Have you looked at the reproducer list? There's literally a dog at 2% in every breed besides the walkers, and that is only 8%. It's an honor to be in the top 10 of any reproducing list. Especially as with Woodrow just getting started.

#10 English is 4.59%
#10 Walker is 6.14%
#10 Bluetick is 0.94%

Yea.....wrong......I think it just got broke down for ya though.....

Im not knocking the dog, Im just saying it is a darn shame that a bluetick hound can get on the reproducers list at less than one percent now days.........take you a look at that historical list........those percentages as a whole look a lot better than todays numbers......

One thing I am confused on.......Eddie do you own a part of or all of this dog??

I don't own a hair on him. He was breed and raised out of mine and Larry's hounds from several breedings. We are proud of him and What Danny has done. because we breed him I promote him on here for Danny. Danny promotes him on Facebook. I believe that anyone who breeds a hound of this caliber would be proud.

those historical hounds you mentioned had pups that later on titled out and that helps the percentage. these hounds that are just getting started breeding have too many that aren't old enough to go to hunts yet. when they do the percentage numbers will increase. this is just how it goes. I'm very proud of him because I know he only had one litter really old enough to start being titled. watch and see what his percentages are in 2 years

Oh wow, I figured you at least owned a part of him to be promoting him.

Do you do this for free for everyone that has one of your pups??

That might be a selling point for the pups out of this dog also you know if you were to kinda promote them here on ukc for the owners!!

How much do these pups usually go for??

Do your cheerleading services cost any extra when you buy a pup?? I mean is there an option to buy with or without?? Asking for a friend??

Thats a pretty bold statement to make right there on reproduction given his rate at less that 1 percent, and a dog like Bocephus setting right at 10 percent........Not to mention the dogs that have won tons of money in other $kc's...i think you just insulted everyone else on that list that is 1 percent or above.........

I wish there was a way you could look up the wins on pups that’s sires are on the reproducers list, it would be interesting to see what all states they are winning in or how much home cooking is involved. Plus it would save me a lot of time when I’m doing a little research.

Yea me too.....

I just glanced back at Crocketts thread, scrolled through several pages and it looks like out of 54 pages there were very few folks that posted besides Eddie, seems he made over 95 percent of the posts......that tells me there was no great following, which also stands to reason why after 7 years and 54 pages of promotion there have been only 3 titled dogs out of him, i think you hit the nail on the head about home cooking Heikki, it would be interesting to know IF they all 3 earned titles right there at Stigler or within a close area......

Female/Male Pup

I would like to purchase a female or Male pup out of Pop Em Up Woodrow and a good female. The Female means a lot to me. I would have bred something to him back in the day when I didn't mind driving a long ways to breed a dog. Do you know of any females being bred to him back to the east. I live in Ohio. I would like to find something within a couple Hundred miles of me. Good Luck with him. I also like his looks a long with his breeding. Thanks.

Distance

About 10 hours. Rt. 70 goes over there. I have been to Missouri a lot of times but just don't care for driving the long distance anymore. I live about 27 miles South of Rt. 70 in Ohio and About 48 miles Southeast of Columbus. Thanks Eddie.
