help!!!!! young dog!

Ok I Have A 2 1/2 Year Old Male,That Was Not Started In Till He Was A Year Old. Last Year He Would Hunt Alone Or With Others 1St And 1St Type Dog, That Could Work A Bad Track Very Well And Have The Meat 9 Out Of 10 Trees. Layed Him Up The Summer And Started Back Hunting Last Week, Well Now He Will Not Hunt Alone And When He Hunts With Another Dog, And That Dog Pulls Up Short He Will Just Stand At The Tree Not Treeing But there. Will Hard Hunting Be Best Or ? What Is The Best Way To Get Him Back hunting Alone?

Give him some time, he is just a little rusty. Hunt him alone all that you can.

yeah just keep getting it out . might try some easy coon hunting a few times with a couple of turn outs . but I would never let him see them first . just turn you one out and let it have a decent head start and work your dog into where it was loosed . couple of those should fire him back up .
