Pup wanting to ride other dogs

I have 6 month old pup that I have started carrying with the old dogs some. Tonight made his 4th trip to the woods. He seems to only want to ride the old dog. At the truck and at the tree he is trying to ride my older male, And a different female. He goes every step of the way with the old dogs. Is coon crazy and started opening on track a little tonight.I was thinking of letting him stand up for a couple more months and try starting him back about December. But I didn't know if this would help or make him worse or set him back. Any input is appreciated.

I would say it is a dominance action. I've seen young dogs do this, usually sooner or later they try an older female and learn not to do that.

It will pass …. He will ride the wrong one and they will teach him a lesson … the E-collar will work as well … don't fry him …. Just enough to let him know this is NOT what we are out here for ...
