Imizol

I know most coonhunters have dealt with Lyme disease more than we care to talk about. How many of y’all have used Imizol for lymes with any success?Any help and info is appreciated

You need to Google imizol and get the facts. Imizol is used to kill a parasite that a dog can get from a tick bite. It is similar to Lymes and erlichia but treated differently. If your dog truly has Lymes disease or Erlichia or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, imizol will not help. But if your dog is infected with the parasite then Doxy won't help. They are all tick born illnesses but treated differently. Since it is hard to distinquish between them, a lot of people just go ahead and treat their dogs with Doxy and Imizol. But as I said you need to Google all of this and read the true facts for yourself. As with everything, there is a lot of misinformation floating around on the web.

..

All I know for sure is my vet said my dog has lymes, I treated her very hard with doxy she has gradually got to where she can barely tree a coon. I took her back treated her hard for lymes again and it hasn't helped, the dog feels good acts good but cant perform. She's the second dog I've had do this, I got rid of the other and her new owners say she ended up fine and they like her, trying not to waste a whole year of hunting again on this one...her thyroid number came back a 1.2 if that matters I don't know.. seems like the more people you talk to I get more confused

Thanks for the replies
