I know Hardrock's breeding very well...And no that should not classify him as a walker....He should be classified as what he is, a CROSS-BREED.

U like the sounds of that cast??

Yeah, either way is a special cast....Speck seems like he has got the reproducing trait as well....starting to see some speck pups show up in the winners circle.

I just don't know of any of Speck pups like I did Zeb, Moose, Zeb Again, and Hellbilly. Those are 4 that I think everybody knows LOL!! I've got 2 Moose pups now out of my female, and got a Speck pup on the way from a buddy of mine's female.

Any combination would be really cool!! The reason I choose the 4 I did was because of the closeness of their handlers as well

Forget a cast! I would be more interested in hunting with my top 4 picks for an entire week! Heck, with that kind of cream, it may take longer than a week for one to raise up.

I can't believe Hillbilly Mac wins Pkc futurity,PKC World and UKC World and not many would think he was good enough to go with the best.

well.. on any night they can all be beaten, as earlier stated. now all things considered, and make it a double elmination tournament type hunt..I'd still have to put my money on Bad Habit. In his short lifespan, he did more whipping than he did getting whipped.

You might know his breeding well but you do not have a dog listed under your name that could have held a candle to him. NO sense in being jealous steve. Hardrock was a great one and his owners are dang good folks.

DIAMOND JIM

EVERYBODY FORGOT ONE OF THE GREATEST, SWINNEY'S DIAMOND JIM. HE WON THE GRAND AMERICAN, THE A.C.H.A LITTLE WORLD HUNT AND THE A.C.H.A. WORLD HUNT ALL IN 1974. THAT WAS BEFORE PCA/PKC WAS AROUND OR STARTED AND I'M SURE HE COULD WIN IN THAT AS WELL. A GOOD FRIEND OF OUR'S (RAY JOHNSON) OF ELYRIA,OHIO SOLD HIM TO BUDDY GILBERT FOR $8000.00 AFTER WINNING THE LITTLE WORLD HUNT. JIM IS THE SIRE OF MOFFETT'S DEAMON, DIAMOND JIM'S SLINGSHOT AND PROBABLY A BUNCH MORE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE JIM HUNT WITH ANY OF TODAY'S DOGS. JIM WAS A FIRST SRTIKE DOG AND WOULD BE TREED IN THE COUNTRY SOMEWHERE WITH THE COON. HE WOULD HAVE COON TREED BEFORE THE OTHER DOGS COMPETITION/PLEASURE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON. I'VE HUNTED JIM NUMOROUS TIMES BEFORE RAY SOLD HIM. HE WAS A FOR-REAL DOG.

Talked to my 80 year old huntin buddy, who has forgotten more about coonhunting and coondogs than I will ever know! I posed this question to him about his ultimate cast, and it went like this:

Diamond Jim
Finley River Spot
Minklers Kansas Rock
Griders Mike

I know for a fact, he has owned several world champions, and handled some as well. He was the hardest hunter I ever knew, and he still does his best, right now to hit the woods a night or two! By the way, he has been to the woods with the above mentioned dogs, and these were the ones that stood out in his mind!
