The 2017 North Carolina state hunt and show will be held at the Rowan County Fairgrounds in Salisbury on April 21st and 22nd. Deadline for Friday events are 6:00 pm for the show with a $20 entry fee and 8 PM for the nite hunt with a $30 entry fee. Deadlines for Saturday's events are 2 PM for the bench show with a $20 entry fee and 7 PM for the nite hunt with a $30 entry fee. Prizes will awarded to everyone who places in the hunt and show. The overall show winner will receive a nice prize package as well as a $200 bonus. We will be having a hunt off again this year to determine the overall nite hunt champion. This hunt off will consist of the four highest scoring double cast winners, if we don't have four double cast winners, we will revert to highest one night score to fill remainder of four dog cast, the winner of the hunt off will be crowned 2017 North Carolina State Nite Hunt champion and will receive several nice prizes as well as $1000 bonus. Clubs are reminded that club dues are $50 per club and have to be paid at the state hunt for your members to be eligible for the overall state championship in the hunt and show. Individual memberships are $20 each and can be purchased at the state hunt. The state association meeting will be held at 12 PM on Saturday and each club is reminded that they need to elect two members to represent their club and vote on issues that are discussed in the annual association meeting. We will also be having our basket raffle again this year as well as raffling off a Henry Golden Boy Coonhunter's Edition 22 rifle. The officers of your association work hard to put on quality events for the hunters and show people of the Tar Heel state and we want to see our state hunt and show grow bigger and better each year and the only way this is possible if for everyone who can to attend so please mark your calendars now and plan on being in Salisbury in April. Hey David, I was wondering if there would be any male and female high scoring breed winner packages for the hunt and show? If so I might be able to sponsor something. I could probably sponsor two show benches for the Bluetick best breed male and female show winners. Not sure if you are formatting the show that way or not but if so and you are interested I may be able to help. I may be able to put something together for high scoring male and female Bluetick winners as well. Let me know.
