If there was 1 frozen breeding of Sackett Jr. semen, how much would you be willing to give?

I know there isn't any, but me and a friend of mine were talking about it and throwing out numbers.

Just curious what everyone else would be willing to give.

I sure wouldn't mind having a litter out of him. BUTTT by the time you pay for semen all the vet and lab work etc... you've got a pile of money invested. I always play the what if side of things. What if I don't get any pups ? What if she only has two ? This would be a large investment. What if the cross don't live up to my expectations. With all my what ifs I'll start the imaginary bidding at $1000. These pups out of a nice female would bring $1000 each

Personally i probly wouldnt touch it jmo there are some walkers that are reproducing extremely well and i never hunted with the dog so it wouldnt make sence to even consider it

I agree, there are a lot of really nice dogs out there to breed to for sure. It makes sense to say "Why spend that much money??" But I think what they are driving at is the idea that by getting one of his pups you just might be getting another one like Ratattack...the number one reproducer of all time.
That is one way of looking at it, but again...who's to say the next door neighbors local stud dog wont produce the same results??? It's a gamble, just like the recent ad for House's Lipper pups. Could be the next coming of Lipper, but for what it cost to find out I would probably pass on that too. I do believe $1000.00 for the original question is probably a fair price that would sell.

I'd go 5,000.... Folks can say what they won't to about Sackett Jr but look at his reproducing % over several other big name studs, even put him against Lipper's %... He's done a TON for the Walker Breed!
