Victor 'Red bag' dog food?

New topic since Biden,China Virus,Economy,Ukraine have all been beat to death on here.

Victor Red Bag dog food;

Who's feeding it now; Any problems with heat cycles, false preg. and not having pups...etc?

Who WAS feeding it; Problems you had and the changes since you stopped feeding it?

I was thinking a dog food company that advertised dog food that promotes proper heat cycles, that they would get lots of business…

Victor

I fed it for about 1.5 years & it was an Outstanding Product. Fed the red bag about 6 months & tried other blends as well....then settled with the Purple/Black Bag ( Professional ). My female didn't have any issues with cycling etc.....never raised any Pups from her. It got hard to find & jumped from $19 to $45+.....that's when I went back to Purina.
Great Food......but Overpriced.
Tim

JMO

Fed it for years.
NO female EVER came in heat right,or had pups.Multiple false preg,1/2 or no heat cycles.
Not even with AI and Progesterone testing.
EVEN Semen put direct onto eggs.
Off Power Pack & My Bark Male Moe; Live and AI with Moe

Best hound {female in signature} I've ever owned was on it 10 yrs of her life.
Got her at 11 months.Put to sleep with cancer in her spine at 12.

Done with Victor

Had the same problems with the Red Bag of Victor. Went to Purina. Dogs have regular heat cycles now.

Which purina bag are you feeding to get regular heat cycles?

Feeding Purina Pro Plan Sport to dog i'm competing with, and Purina Dog Chow to the dogs not hunted as much. Both types of Purina feed are keeping the dogs healthy, with regular heat cycles.

Have been feeding Victor Red, Teal, and Purple bags for about 7 years. Personally have not had any issues with gyps not coming in heat or having pups.( Foxhounds, Beagles and Birddogs). Not to say that anyone hasn't, but we haven't. Feed and hunt what you like, it's your money and your time. Don't matter what anyone thinks.

Purina is a pretty big business.
