I use cattle and swine ivermectic 1% sterile solution for a heart worm prevenitive. The dose is 1/10th a ml for every ten lbs of body weight. I use this every month even in the winter.

I use safe guard every other month for other worm treatment.

I also keep my kennels very clean and sanitized. This is a major one to help prevent worms, bacteria, bacteria skin infections (hot spots), kennel cough or any other issues a dog may have.
