Hunting Beagle Nationals
First, thanks to everyone who entered a hound and came to the Nationals. 350 dogs is not bad considering it was Easter Weekend. There's always next year for those who couldn't make it because of Easter.
Thanks to Fred Hawkins, Will Bullock and Travis Howard for the Easter Son Rise Service on Sunday morning.
Thanks to the Coshocton County Beagle Club, Brian Meade-Guide Coordinator, and all who guided casts. Overall, the running was as good as ever. Thanks to Brian and all involved in this effort.
Thanks to all who served as Judges throughout the weekend and to those who stayed on Sunday to help judge the Semis and Finals. Very much appreciated!
Thanks to all the Field Reps for all their help throughout the weekend with their assignments, from measuring dogs, judge selection, confirming entries, and running the event. Thanks to Harry Warnick for serving as Master of Hounds.
Thanks to Rae Lynn Mercer for all she does. She does a whole lot more than just confirm entries. She's always reliable, accurate and grades her work by the mistakes, or lack thereof, at the end of the day. A+ again this year!
Thanks to Taylor Armstrong for sitting in for Hanna this year. Great job as always. Taylor has worked a lot of different UKC events throughout the years but this was her first ever beagle trial. She loved it!
Thanks to Thornie and his set-up committee. He had all the tables and chairs set up by the time we got there on Thursday. Sunday, after the casts were called, he and his son Dan had them all back on carts and ready for pickup in no time. Much appreciated Thornie!
Thanks to Jim and Wendy Shumaker for the catered dinner on Friday evening. Very good as always!
Congratulations to all who won or placed a dog at the 26th Annual Beagle Nationals.
The weekend comes with several long days for those involved in helping run the event. But I think I can speak for everyone; we all had a blast and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Thank you everyone!
