Sister and Sid pups

Hi,

Getting good reports on Sister and Sid pups. Running and treeing their own coon. Split treeing their own coon. Another successful cross from dogs here at the farm, starting in 1974. Generation after generation producing coondogs.

Superman

Hi,
Took Superman hunting New Years night. In the teens, moon up, frost all over the ground. Turned him loose twice. He slammed 2 layups. First drop he disappeared into the night. At 700 yards, he gave that screaming locate and broke into that never ending, ringing chop. He had the coon on the outside.
Walked back to the truck. The second drop, Superman knocked a hole in the dark, 175 yards in, he slammed the second layup. He had that coon on the outside. Walked back to the truck. Done for the night. He can be layed up for weeks at a time and he is just as sharp as the last night you hunted him.

Gr Nt Ch Starke's Finley River Superman HTX

Hi,

Turned Superman loose Jan 3rd about 10 pm. Let him out of the box and he fired in there 331 yards and pounded a tree with that big, screaming locate. Rolled into that signature tree bark... a hard, ringing, never ending, loud, approx. 110-120 bpm, stand on the tree performance. Boys, he is as solid a coondog as they come. Cody Martin called him a "beast" the other night, lol.

He may not walk on water, or sing in the choir, but without a doubt, he is a coondog. Have questions about that? Come for a hunt. My grandfather always told me... when the tailgate drops, the bull**** stops. Can't explain it any better than that, lol.

Money Hunt

Hi,

Superman attended the money hunt at Sweet Springs, MO last Saturday night. Superman won his early round cast and advanced to the final round. His score was 225+ and 200 circle. His last coon was treed on the outside just after deadline was called.

He finished second 325+ and 175 circle. Buck won with a score of 425+. On the last track , Superman split off from the cast and treed a den for his circle points. If that coon had been seen, Superman would have won the cast with 500+. That is the breaks of competition.

Congratulations to Charlie Wyatt and Superman on their win. They present a strong team.

Iron Man and Brandy pup

Starke's Finley River Dan

Hi,

Dan's ad will come out in the March or April American Cooner. Go hunt with Dan. He speaks for himself. He is fast, superior nose as all my hounds have, and as accurate a locator as hounds get to be. Stud fee will be $750 with a negative brucellosis test. Pups from time to time out of my Hall of Fame Finley River Dan linebred females. Dan finished 6th in the 1970 ACHA World Hunt.

Why run an ad on Dan?

More than one person has called to see the dog go and you get excuses such as "well the dog is not a finished dog", "the previous owner really set the dog back", "my work schedule won't allow me to shoe the dog", but the best one was "we don't want to breed him because we will be campaigning him this spring".

Hi,

I will tell you right now, you didn't talk to me. Randy hunts that dog every night. I can send you videos and pics. I have never heard those excuses. Anybody that knows me, knows I will take you hunting in bad weather conditions after midnight. Superman speaks for himself and Dan is perfectly capable. Dan will be in the hunts this spring. Dan will be breeding Stormy this week. Kevin Walker, OH called this morning about breeding his Pearl female that was High Scoring Female on Friday night at Walker Days. We also talked about breeding his Skuna River female later on. I don't know where you get your info, but you sure haven't been talking to me.

Superman is a Gr Nt Ch HTX champion at 2 years old. You can look at his profile below. He sure didn't get that list of wins standing on the end of a chain. Example: February 2, 2018 a UKC hunt held by the Prarie Home Coonhunters at Tipton, MO. Full moon, thick frost covered ground, 19 degrees at drawout time. Superman scored 525+, 175 circle, no minus and was High Scoring dog. Your comments about Superman simply do not hold water. Get your facts straight.

The day you think ol Superman can't tree a coon on his own, load up.

This past Friday night at the BBCHA Sectional Hunt held in Madison, MO, Gr Nt Ch Starke's Finley River Superman XTX,
won the GR Nt Ch / NtCh casts. He was High Scoring Gr Nt Ch/Nt Ch. Retired? I don't think so. He was not hunted any night prior to the BBCHA Hunt.

Brandon Comfort's pup

Gr Ch Mears Finley River Trap

Hi,

Old Trap is on the Hall of Fame ballot this year. I raised her parents from puppies. I raised her from a puppy and sold her to Tom Wilbers when she was approx. 5 months old. Tom owned her all her life. Tom buried her.

She was an outstanding layup dog. Trap didn't miss. She dominates a pedigree for generations. She is the cornerstone of my breeding program. I have had layup dogs since I started linebreeding her.

Gr Nt Ch Starke's Finley River Superman HTX

Hi,

Jeff Wyatt hunted Superman Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in licensed hunts.

Superman scored 525+, 225+ in the late round, 825+, and 525+. He did not have any minus points on any cast. He scored a total of 2,100 plus points for the 3 nights of hunting, giving him an average of 525+ per cast. He was high scoring dog 3 out of 4 casts.

The dog has been hunted maybe 5 nights since January. He was overweight and out of shape. He accomplished these wins with talent and a big heart. Jeff said he was tired Saturday night.

Congratulations Jeff and Superman. Roger Prater, Georgia, texted me, "Superman, "the name suits him."

Starke's Finley River Jake

Hi,

Iron Man was bred to Mueller's Rose Tuesday morning.

Dan Meuller, Mankato, MN, has been trying to get down here to breed his female to Iron Man or Jake for 3 years. He is finally going to make it this weekend.

She is a fine female. she runs and trees with a big mouth. All Finley River pedigree with some Mundo. Just like my dogs. She also has 3 UKC World Show Champions in her pedigree, 5 total.

Want a beautiful pup, with a big mouth, that will run and tree plus win a few shows? I don't know where to get a better prospect. Dan's phone number 507-327-5989. Old Dan pedigree, of course, loaded.

PS One of the loudest, hardest, treedog pups I have raised, came from Jake and Cozi. Jake is a half brother of Iron Man. Cozi is a daughter of Iron Man. Cozi and Superman are littermates. His name is JUSTUS. Call Rod Arrowood, IA, phone and ask him about JUSTUS. An awesome hound.
