Robert, I have know idea? lol I am just telling you what Alan Gingrich emailed me, said nothing is official till it is announced in the end of November. Also said zones have to be set and clubs have to agree, before anything official. I am excited if we can have it back in the Great State of Georgia
I hope you are right and he is playing safe.

I didn't know about it either lol. Good to know we've had one. Unadilla is a winter time huntin place. I hunt down in there. Wasn't for the gnats and diamondbacks and gators and cottomouths. I could live there lol.

Just my 2 cents. I do believe it is easier for a dog to be used to high heat and humidity to come north and have stamina to compete hard for 2 hours as opposed for a dog that comes from cooler northern temps going south in probably 10°-15° warmer and higher humidity.. Not saying a coon dog shouldn't tree coon anywhere put down, but stamina does factor into it. There are states midway that should satisfy most hunters. An trust me, I would rather see moderate to thin coon than buckets and tons of cubs where dogs are split instead if competing with each other to proclaim a World Champion. Probably just opened a can of worms, but if coon are scarce, then they compete against each other and not go off to find one and get treed alone. If dog does not want to pack, might miss out on the only coon in the woods, or at least make it more difficult to find one alone. IMO, dead loners don't have to be good, fast or pressure tree dogs. Nothing is around them. And no dog is pushing them. But that, fellow hunters, is a whole nother post... IMO after 46 years of Coonhunting.
