I had two dogs get bit at tree one night. A older male was bit in the neck while treeing and a pup was bit on the leg by the same Copperhead. The older dog never paid any attention and kept treeing. When the pup got bit I seen it striking at them. The pups leg swelled identical to your dog. Took about 3 days for it to go back to normal. The male looked as if he has a softball in his throat.

Yeah that looks like a snake bite. It happens often down here. Usually takes three or four days to get back to normal.

Very few times it's life threatening.
