Trashbreaker tone sound

How loud should the tone be on a Trashbreaker Ultra shocking system?
Was told you should be able to hear tone from 20-30 ft.
I have never heard one be that loud and easy to hear from a distance. I usually have had to hold all of the shockers I have owned up to my ears or at least within arms reach to hear them.
What is normal?
Thanks in advance for comments and opinions.

Trash breaker

I have the Garmin trash breaker and about arms length I can hear it. The g3 tritronics I had to put it next to my ear to hear it but dogs had no problem hearing either one.

I’d say 20 foot is about right on my Trash Breaker and Alpha both. I push the tone occasionally when I’m back at the truck just to see if it still works. I can hear it a pretty good ways away. I don’t used leashes and that tone has sure become a favorite training tool.
