So I've usually always have hunted an owned male dogs, so now I've owned a nice gyp that now she will have a forever home with me now!! I love her , so she started coming in heat last week last night I took her she was starting bleed , she treed. 3 singles all on the outside , so I have saw a lot on this board gyps act crazy. An hunt different after coming in our out heat? Or is it just excuses lol? I

I've heard of guys that hunted their females right thru their heat but mine would get bred to some stray dog the first night I tried it. As far as it affecting their hunting most I've had did not show any difference right before or after heat.

Yea I hadn't saw in difference in her hunting but I put her up because that would be my luck a stray dog would get hold her lol

I had one that would start treeing possums right before she came in. Craziest thing I ever seen but like clockwork she would tree possums and be in heat within the next few days. Didn't have a possum problem the rest of the time though.

Mine goes slap crazy 2 weeks before she starts to come in. Not just hunting but barking in the pen getting out and acts like a puppy when she's 9 years old

My old dog will be crazy the week before and the week after heat and my younger female doesn’t act any different so it depends on the dog
