This proposal sounds like it is all about just the adding of minus points on tree for a dog getting there too late to be treed if a coon is seen.
Under current rules they already get next available on off game, slick trees , and minus on track on coon seen trees.
You can't tree them or you take 125 - hit if they are found on the same tree and if it is slick watch out... a double hit on minus. I don't really understand the full reason for wanting this rule enacted and why so many are voting to minus a dog there at a tree on a coon.
Except that they got there too late to tree them legitimately and you are trying to penalize them for covering too slowly ?

Once again like a lot of the other rule proposals this year , it sounds like a rule change proposal to benefit the hot nosed get deep and alone dogs.

Think about it even a dog getting last strike and third tree (last tree is still open ) on a tree with a coon seen is still at minimum 175 up on a dog under current rules.

X2 only thing this rule will do is give the dog that picks its head up and beats butt to another dog treed an advantage over a dog that finishes his track come he!! or high water
