Although Chief is no longer with us. I have enough Semen stored on Chief to keep his, and his ancestors blood flowing for a good deal of time. The stored Semen has been used a few times. If memory serves me correctly. I believe the fewest pups in a litter was 8 and the largest was 14

I made a trip to Check VA. to pick up a young hound. I would like to thank Wayne Poff for selling me BOJACK. The NY. training season opened July 1st. I will be hitting the timber as much as possible until the snow sets in. I have a young male out of Chief named Hammer, That just turned a year old. Sledge, The male I bred Scrappy too, And BoJack. My plan is to sell one of the males. Farm one out to a friend for kill season, And hunt one myself during kill season. BoJack is out of Botox and Bobbie. He will get his first hunt in NY tonight.

Congrats on the purchase of Bojack, Dave. His dam, Bobbie is owned by my good friend Mr Ed Mauney. She is the best female I have ever seen go of any breed and a top reproducer. If Mr Ed could have had someone push her the past few years she would have done even more great things. I have seen her go many times. I was in a cast with Botox once and he showed he is a top hound as well and his record speaks for itself. His owner is a great guy also. Few hounds of any breed can say they win as consistently as Botox. I wish you the best with Bojack and hope he suites you. Take Care.

BoJack is still adjusting to the hunting in my area. He is running the edges of the big fields more than I like. This time of year he needs to get in the timber and hit the creeks for the best results. In another month when the berries and cherries are in you will tree a lot on the edges and hedge rows. I like to cut dogs across the fields and let them hit timber on their own. With BoJack I have found that he dose much better if I walk him in to the hard woods about 20 yards. He hunts much better that way. He hunts deeper and stays in the timber. I have made several trees with him, 2 slicks, 2 iffy but coon could have been there, some dens, and 5 seen. Been hunting on a full moon, and I never have the best hunts on these nights. I will be breeding a female to him in the next day or two. She is a nice female that is out of Chief. I will post her pedigree below. Pups will be PKC SS.

Sometimes things work different than planed. I had made up my mind to breed moon to Chief semen. Dean at Never gone was not able to accommodate right now. I hope things happen for a reason. Moon has been bred to BoJack. Pups will be PKC S.S. Should be a good cross. There are a lot of BIG TIME WINNERS in UKC and PKC in this pedigree.

I was told that a young man won Queen of hunt at the Ed Mead Tribute hunt, With a female out of Chief and Fancy. Congrats to that young man. This female would be a littermate to the Wild n Blue Buck dog that Rob Anderson owns in NC. It is also a half Sister to the Moon female I Just Bred to BoJack. Moon Is out of Country and Fancy.

Scrapy had one pup. I new she wasn't very big, But I thought she would have at least 3 or4 pups. I will be keeping this pup for myself. I had 4 or 5 people interested in a pup off this cross. Mattie took so I should have pups out of the BoJack x Mattie cross. Mattie is due 9/17. thanks Dave

Thanks Rick. It should be a good cross. I have only had one night that I hunted BoJack that he didn't tree a coon. He still has a long way to go, But he improves every time I take him. He has good speed when he hits a track, But he needs to get out of the gate faster, and hunt faster.

I have a lot of semen stored at Never Gone. I don't want to bother the Bitzel family during the grieving of the loss of Dean. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I was looking for any suggestion's as to where to store and use the semen in the future. I live 35 miles south east of Buffalo NY. I would like to find someone that AIs them and has a had good results. the closer to home the better. thanks Dave.
