They are what we call flathead. Those they caught in spring river. He is good at cleaning fish and I soak everything in salt water before I cook them. My favorite are what we call Mississippi whites. If you get hungry on your camping expedition this summer invite Dalt down he will keep you fed and is good at dog fetching.

I would have you put my pictures on here but they were all Mississippi whites. Flat heads get frozen separate they are a prized possession lol.

No fishing today just got back from Fort Worth Texas watched the grand sons show cattle I am taking a nap then grandaughters ball game tonight.

I tired !!

We�re hammering the flatheads here in Iowa. Mid 30s is common and the bigger fish are in the 50s. We generally release the big fish and try to keep the ones 20lbs and under for filleting.

Catfish

I've got a "little" hunt'n buddy up here that knows how to catch'm. (I also think he could bear hunt with a small switch)
Those 2 he's hold'n right there were just a biscuit shy of 150lbs together.
He got his pics then cut'm loose! LOL

It's part of the warm-up for the What in the Hippy Tar Nation Camp and Coonhunt. Also what coonhunters are doing while their hunting is under water throughout the midwest.

Ed you can multitask like Chey and Kash and fish while hunting.
We are hunting on the farm right now and while waiting on Shack they broke the poles out lol. They are always in the truck if Kash is around!

I didn't have a fishing pole with me but I did have a gun the night I pulled into a cut corn field coon hunting one fall and my plans were changed when I seen this big guy..

Tar I'm skeerd with all this water right now. Even if I could get down there I may not get home?!? I don't know how long I could last down there in that Land of Milk & Honey?!?!

Jen that boy does 4 things. Work, train, fight & hunt 24/7 365. I'm sure he'd love to choke out some big cats with Dalt, but get'n him to find/make time would be the challenge. I'll pass the word and who knows he may just show up.

Biggest one Dalton has ever got she weighed 91 lbs him and 2 buddies noodles the one in her mouth weighed 55 lbs. They fed the form for a week before they realized they had just ate what would have been the Oklahoma state record lol. Poor hungry college kids!

Does he cage fight? Dalton did for a while until his wife and I convinced him dad's have to go to work everyday no time for when he could get injured. He loved it and was pretty good.
