I was hunting with two brothers years ago Sam a Bird, we were 16 or so,Bird older then Sam. Dogs put one in a old wore barn and way up there above the hay mow set the coon in a corner of the roof and a square beam. Bird decided he was going to crawl across the beam and poke the coon out. So we get Bird up on the beam and strarts edging towards the coon, Sam says hey Bird, you want me to shoot him once? Birds says, HE!! NO YOU STUPID SOB!!!!!, YOU STOOT THAT COON I'LL BEAT OR A$$!!!!, YOU DUMB SOB!!!!!. So Bird gets in stick range and pokes the coon, the coon bites the stick and Bird about falls and lets the stick drop, and coon is snorting and heading for Bird. Bird screams, SHOOT THAT SOB!!!! YOU IGNORANT BASTA_ _!!!!! YOU DUMB SOB!!! But me Sam are laughing to hard. Bird jumps down to the hay mow, looses his balance and falls backwards to the bottom floor. We look down at Bird and hes moving around a little and looks fine and tells Sam he's going to kick his a$$ so Sam takes to shooting the coon, and there went the coon all the way down right nexts to Birds head. All we could see was Birds legs and three dogs. Me and Sam Laugh about that still. That was pure fun

I was talking to Sam last night and he reminded me that on the same night, the dogs treed one on a tree stump. The stump was completely surrounded by the nastiness mess of multi flower rose bushes possible, almost impregnable by man or beasts. Sam plugged the coon and it just went flat on the stump, dogs just kept barking around the edges of the bushes. Byrd got down on his belly and crawled in, grabbed the coon it let a big growl, the three dogs went in, poor Byrd was in there being forced around by them dogs with thorns stuck to every inch of his body. By the time we got him out of there he had bloody holes poked all over his face and hands. Man them were good times

Dave, hard not to enjoy your buddy falling out of a barn and then fighting three dogs and a coon in a patch of multi flower rose bushes. At different points in the bush fight Byrds face was really getting distorted by the briars. His skin would stretch a good two inches before letting loose
