need info on nite lite's 5100 led head.

I am going to get nite lite's 5100 led head and I wanted to know if any one has used it yet and how they liked it.

If it's the one for $26 i've heard nothing good about it except that you can see to feed your dogs at night.

I have one and I absolutely LOVE it. I bought the head for my 21 Volt Nite Moves belt lite, and it's bright, clear, a nice focused beam (Unlike the head that came with my Nite Moves lite) and it is VERY easy on batteries. I just charged my lite for the first time siince January 3rd, and we've been getting on average 3 to 4 nights of hunting in per week.

haven't used one, but asked a local dealer who had them in stock, he said they weren't very bright.

I think it depends on voltage of the light you are using. I have a 28 volt with an led head and there is a difference in the brighness compared to my 21 volt. I'm gping to try the head out its only 26 dollars.

for the price might as well, if it works out it beats paying 150 or more.

I have seen one in action and Nite Lite's description of the info on them is spot on why it doesn't mention being ideal for hunting or coon hunting:

quote:

The new Nite Lite LED headlamp is designed to give you more versatility. The 5100 style LED headlamp will plug in to any battery pack that is 12 volts or above and will provide up to 48 hours of continuous burn. It is fitted with a standard stereo style plug for quick attachment and removal from you Extreme Series battery pack. With seven LED bulbs you can run just one, or six for added brightness. It is great alternative when you don't need a bright light, just a long burn time. This makes your Nite Lite Extreme series light ideal for camping, fishing, or just general use.

Notice, you didn't see it state anything about hunting or coon hunting -- look at what it states it is ideal for.........why do you reckon it doesn't mention ideal for hunting or coon hunting?

Just something to think about.
