kennel issue

hello again folks. i have yet another issue that i see is becoming a problem. i have raised pens with 55 gal barrel hanging off the back of pen for a dog house. i have a one year old red bone male that will pee and crap inside his dog house. the pens are clean. i will clean the dog house out, put new bedding in (straw) and not even 30 minutes later he will be peeing in it. now i have a 4 month old red bone and he is doing the same thing. i have three other hounds and these two are the only ones that have this issue. the barrels have been washed prior to installing them. and they have been washed several times since then. any ideas on how to correct this?

Close the door to their box until they start going in the pen. Try this with small pups and takes nothing to get this stopped if they have any brains.

Feed them in there house for a few days or how ever long it takes, most dogs will not poop where they eat.

Has there ever been other dogs in those boxes ?? I have seen a few that would do that in second hand boxes !, clean them and Clorox them to get all scent off them and then put there food inside with them !! If it's a wore floor that might have the, screwed up !! that's got to be as aggravating as any problem ! Good luck if they are males you could also get yourself a orange or red cone and put where you want them to pi$$ have seen that work also

Nope never had another dog in there. And that's the crazy thing they crap in the pen like they are supposed to. But for added frustration to me they also go in the dog house. I have even picked up straw from different locations thinking there was something in or on the straw, it didn't make a difference.

I was only kidding. I know nothing about red bones other than the color of their bones.

Friend filled the house with firewood until she had just a very small spot to curl up, that worked.
