How Many Have Put 300k Miles On A Truck?

Curious how many people have put 300k miles on a truck themselves? Can't be many of us. Bought her new in 05 from Richmond Toyota. Still as tight as the day I bought it and pretty clean for being driven on salty, Michigan winter roads. Not easy miles hunting and fishing in northern Michigan. Nothing but a timing belt and routine maintenance. First set of back brakes last month! Best truck I've ever owned.

5 years ago I traded off a 99 Ford ranger for a 13 F150. The ranger had 400,00+ when I picked up the 13. The 13 just became my spare/hunting truck. It now has 240,00. I just sold my old hunting/spare, 2000 F150. It had 280,00. The only reason I sold it was because I didn't need 3 vehicles.

Some good responses. Lots of success stories. I knew it would not be a "brand" thing and that there are good and bad in all of them. I agree with btk, I believe its about routine maintenance.

I want a new long box Tacoma. How much can I get for this old truck? Or not worth selling, park it the cabin and keep the scratches off a new one?

I have one.

I drive a 2002 Toyota Tacoma. Just turned 325,000 miles about 3 weeks ago. I've thought about buying a new one, but to be honest about it, I just don't have the desire to. Simply because this little truck has never once failed me. Still have the same alternator, same thermostat and water pump, and even have the original headlamps. Believe it or not. She doesn't owe me a thing and I ain't got the heart to trade her in.

300,000

Have a 03 2500 Dodge diesel that is just weeks away from 300,000. Acts like it is just broke in good. Low 20'a MPG, doesn't use oil, on my 5 set of tires, injectors replaced but founded out later that was not the problem.

Hey Nathan....I'm kinda curious to see the new Ranger. Turbo charged 4 cyl with 25+ mpg? I think I've had three Rangers over the years.

I've got a 98 Dodge Ram with a 318 I bought with 90k on at 4 years old. Has the original engine and tranny and has 405,000 on it. I bought it at an auction. Black book on it was 19500, I got it for 9,000. If not for work, I would be heading to oaks tomorrow and that's a 7 hour drive. Wouldn't think twice about taking it anywhere.

I have a 04 gmc 3500 with 380k a 2500 with 255k and a 2003 1500 with 260k all 3 still run and drive perfect I just cant remember all that driving all those miles I put on myself between 2003 and 2012 before I started having seizures ,most were hauling my son and his horses to rodeo and cutting hors shows, those were some good times for sure.

I have a 2006 Tacoma with 375,000 miles and is still running strong. That is why I bought a 2018 in February. I will only own Toyotas from now on.
