Joe, Can easily make a show lead cheap using some flat ribbon rope, tie a loop on each end and put a rubber washer or strong bead to slide down on one loop. Any small rope can work but I prefer the 1/4 or 3/8 flat ribbon rope. Can easily make show leads cheap. If you don't want the knot in the rope you can use some fabric glue and strong thread or fishing line to glue and sew the loops. Cheapest and fastest way to have great show leads. 4' long is usually long enough for a show lead. Can make 4 leads from a 20 ft length of rope and a pack of washers, About the cost of one lead ordered through a catalog. Soft cotton ribbon rope works best.
Can also get show leads through most of the mail order places like Foster and Smith. May also find a few at Pet Smart, etc
If you don't have any luck with that send me a pm with your address and I will send you some home made leads or at least some good rope and washers to make em with.
