Well the weather man said we were going to be rain free for a week so I laid into cutting hay for 3 days now thats a lot of hay down , I got 2 days worth up and then today with a 0% chance of rain it came a flood on a whole days cutting of Bermuda grass, now I have 3 times the work to get it up, oh well guess I should not have gotten in a hurry I have 2 days left before the scheduled rain is coming in at 80%, I have put up well over 1500 rolls this year so I guess I should not complain the weather has been good to us this year and last .

Here they keep forecasting rain so we don't mow and then it doesn't rain😟 We don't have much to make, but with 3 horses, every bale counts. My friends that buy hay (not from us), have been complaining about it being musty.

How's Mouse doing?

she is doing good thanks . seen a lot of musty hay this year people bailing before the dew is gone or off wet ground even though the ground looks dry if enough moisture is under it the hay on top draws it into it and will mold

I have a nearly new sq bailer but I only use it every now and then toooo much work lol they come with tractor trailers to get my hay , one load went to Michigan last month

A man that bales hay ought to know all he has to do is lay a bunch on the ground, with no chance of rain in the forecast, to know its going to rain. I always feel like when I am going to bale hay, I have just as good of a chance to hit the lottery than to get it all done before it either gets wet or something breaks lol.
