Among 469 COVID-19 infections tied to a number of summer events and large public gatherings in Barnstable County, Mass., about three-quarters of cases occurred in fully vaccinated people, according to the CDC's latest Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report published July 30.

A number of large public gatherings occurred at a town in the county between July 3-17 and beginning July 10, the state's health department started receiving reports of an uptick in COVID-19 infections among fully vaccinated residents. Of 469 infections associated with the events, about 74 percent were breakthrough infections, according to the report.

A total of five people were hospitalized, including four who were fully vaccinated. No deaths were reported.

The outbreak was largely fueled by the delta variant, first detected in India and now the dominant U.S. strain. The variant was detected in 89 percent of specimens that were sequenced from 133 patients.

Additionally, specimens from vaccinated people who were infected had similar cycle threshold values to those who were unvaccinated and infected. "This might mean that the viral load of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons infected with SARS-CoV-2 is also similar," researchers said.

Why aren't y'all still warning us about our side effects? Have you seen the figures on the "long termers" who will suffer the effects of Covid for the rest of their lives?

Actually, the people who are fully vaccinated and do get a breakthrough case are in the best shape. They will only get a mild case with usually almost no symptoms. Then they will have the strongest natural immunity/antibodies and can't get Covid ever again. So if you are fully vaccinated, you need to get out and mingle with the unvaccinated to try and get a breakthrough case. That is a lot better than a booster shot that y'all are so worried about.

Did she die? Was she hospitalized? There is always that one outlier. More than 630,000 unvaccinated people have died.

Here is another example... An unvaccinated guy goes into work every day and then goes to the grocery store on the weekend.

If you are worried, get vaccinated. If you don't care don't get vaccinated. But quit griping about everything and worrying about the people who did get vaccinated.

We were working on a peach farm this am. 18 wheeler came in to get loaded. The driver got out & mingled with probably 50 workers, including us. Then he got sick and told us that his entire family was sick with the covid. I am vaccinated, if that means anything, but my other 2 carpenters are not. I'm not worried at all for me cause I also have plenty of ivermectin on hand and taking vitamin D. P.S., just so yall know, I'M on Richards side,I think the vacs are a good thing for people like me, I also hunt Redbones!
