UKC State Races

Has UKC or will UKC entertain the thought of keeping up with a standings for a state race? Can certainly do it off of cast wins per dog in a given year..

That would be their smartest move!

They should do a slam race based on cast wins. Let the clubs decide entry fee $25-$100. Then, have a State Slam Championship from the top 48 or 64 dogs with an entry of $100-$200. Lastly, a SLAM NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP $200-$500 entry from the top 4-16 dogs from each state.

We aren’t the ones behind. I’m pretty sure we and most that like the hunts are ahead of the ones that won’t make the change.

For some reason you always seem to miss the real point. The whole program was drawn up in 2010 and proposed to them in writing. It got just about as far as the trash can. Reason given? They don't want to be doing a copy program of what others are doing, or something similar.

State Races

There is a KC out there that currently has a state race, national race, and everything. Not knocking UKC one bit but that never has been their cup of tea and quite frankly I don't believe it should be. It's a title game with them not a money game. IMO if you want this go hunt $KC. If UKC did this it would pollute an already saturated hunting schedule...
