I’m sick of it!!!

I pay good money to get some of my dogs hunted up from two different people and my dogs come back with ribs showing and they are starved for water! This has happened from July to now. Is there any good hunters out there that you can trust to keep your hounds healthy while they hunt them? Not one coon shot out to them either! I know people that have limited places to hunt need to save their coons, especially in Tennessee but **** what am I paying for

Sounds like Democratic Socialism to me LOL.

Truth of the matter is those folks are few and far between , and most hunt there own dogs too. I have a few select Hunting Buddies , who I will hunt there dogs for a while if they are sick or working etc. as long has they throw in some dog feed /gas money etc. But I don't mind laying dogs up either but pups will not learn anything in the pen. Many will disagree with my next statement , but I am not afraid to hunt up to 3 young dogs by themselves at the same time , I will be hunting 2 tonight , granted we bred and raised them here on the farm , they know what come here means , load etc. can pretty much handle them without a leash unless near a road etc. 1 is 16 Months old the other will be 1 yo in January. But I kinda of like extra trashy depression era sportsmen hounds extra on the trashy. And if I did charge to the public ( which I will not)it would be no less than $1, 000 a month more if they do not handle or have basic manners, and they would probably only get 1 coon a week shot out to them during season and none during the off season, they would just get hunted and would likely be with other dogs as well. IMHO it is best to raise and train your own from either pups or young dogs I would rather mess with a young dog who was never messed with than some who were mishandled.

Josh , I am a DIE HARD President Trump DEPLORABLE, SMELLY , DREGS OF SOCIETY LIFE LONG REPUBLICAN AS WELL. I was just poking fun man. The point I was trying to make was 99% of folks will never hunt your dogs the way you would. There are some exceptions and I know of 1 about 2 hours from me Real Good Honest folks. And if your dogs were at my house they would get hunted and would be in good shape or better than when they got here. It is frustrating for sure , and the whole DNC thing I was just saying that a lot of DS promise the moon and end in starvation just ask Venezuela! S/FI. Josh I am glad to have you in the ranks of the DEPLORABLE! Good luck with your dogs. I take no offense with your remarks and those that know me, know how NON-PC I am as well with thick skin and sarcasm to spare.

Yea chuck

You probably hunt flat ground but all I have is the hills and up until a few years ago I could handle them but not now. I expected as much from Dave or Richard. Maybe even yadkintar but not you Chuck! Haha

Since you are already sick of it, I figured that I had better lay off of this one. Unlike Chuck, I don't like to kick a man when he is down.

I guess a dog has to know what come back means. If you take a dog to hunt and you turn it lose it just might not come back to you. Especially in unfamialiar woods. Even if the owner tells you the dog will come back and you put a shocker on it and a tracker there is still a chance of losing the dog.

I can name a handful of folks that will take care of the dog better than you probably do. And hunt hard, I'm not talking 2 nights a week. I'm talking 6 or 7 and for 6+ hours. Hard part is finding those people.

In my opinion you would be better off to find someone without a hound and give him half interest for hunting the dog. The guys that are looking because they don't have anything will usually hunt it hard and take care of it better than the guy with a kennel full who has to many to hunt to begin with.

Do you really believe they are hunting your dog if they aren't barely feeding it?

First of all you got to do your homework. There is more Liers in this sport than any sport there is. Wether it be to sale a dog or to get someone to send them dogs to hunt. If you want a honest man you gonna have to PAY for him. Cause he honestly can’t lay his dog up and hunt yours for $400 a month, but I have done it a lot.
In 2015 I hunted a dog for greg minkler for $250 a month and I hunted the piss out of that dog. Ended up winning the fall ss with him. A lot of time goes into making a dog and the fact is all don’t make it. A honest man is gonna feed and water his dog every night he comes in before he eats so you dont have to worry about your dog being fed. Here’s what most cant take from a honest man........THE TRUTH!! They want to here how great there dog is doing not the TRUTH!!
If you want a honest man you gonna have to be honest with yourself and also pay the man.

I guess that you have gotten up now.

Oh my goodness, I guess they learn it from their lying dogs. I guess that it is a good thing that Jerry Clower had the only coon hunting monkey.

Have you never talked to a fisherman or a horse trader? I wonder why they make competition fishhermen and judges at the big horse shows take lie detector tests?

It sure isn't your fault if somebody truly didn't feed or water your dog. But if I can't see a dog's ribs, I know that he isn't getting hunted. If I paid someone to hunt my dog and he wasn't skinny when I got him back, I would know that he didn't get hunted.

I hog hunt and I wouldn't let anyone hunt my dogs or even put them in a bay pen...I hunt my dogs a certain way and I train them in the bay pen a certain way...
If I coon hunted I would feel the same way...
