Pup out of your all time favorite

If you were going to get a semen pup, out of your all time favorite stud dog,. Lipper, Fiddler, Roy, Red dog.
Would you get a male, hopefully next great, or female knowing you could breed her, bring back up old breeding?

Well I did just that. Got a female semen pup off Lipper raised and trained her then I bred her to Moffets WC Deamon Semen. Was a two way semen cross on as old a blood out there however I only got a single pup. It is a female. So had to take what came of the cross. She’s 11 months old now and favors the old dogs. She resembles her Grandsire Sweeney’s Diamond Jim.

Good for you, I sure hope these crosses work out. I am so proud of the men making these crosses trying to preserve the old breed stock that got us where we are today. I am NOT a breeder, but a hunter and so thankful to those who breed for quality, this makes my hunting so much better . Thank you to ALL of the BREEDERS that are doing their best to get the best. Dave
