Harry my mail server went down Friday so email has been knocked out.......Without going into all kinds on technical details, short answer is I am moving to a new server which has hit a snag moving all sites over due to corrupt system files on the old server. I've been up since Friday pretty much constant catching quick naps between phone calls with the server software engineers trying to uncurrupt the files while still leaving sites up and online.

The forum works like my forum where the association's moderator has to approve accounts. This is done through emails so one of the reasons you may not have been approved yet is because of the email situation.

Had the corrupt file issue not had happened, all sites would have been on the new server around 3am last night.

I am paying to have the operating system reloaded at the Data Center and files restored in order to move to the new server. As of now that is the short term fix. Hopefully the downtime will only take place in the middle of the night.

Kinda like when your home computer system files becomes corrupt and they only way to fix it is to reinstall Windows. That's all a computer server is a computer with powerful specs.

I've been lucky that this is the first major issue I have had in over 5 years with servers. Heck I've lost home 2 computers in the same time period.

I only started that website a few years ago because the Assoc. website had failed to materialize.

I always thought I'd shut it down if and when the Assoc. website gets to the point that it serves the purpose.

I've never made a dime off it and not being responsible for it will save me some time and maybe a headache, every now and then.

Is everybody getting registered to use the ABTCHA website, that wants to?

Some points to remember:
1. The address is www.abtcha.net.
2. Look for Message Forum
3. Register. To register:
.....1. You need to be a paid up member in the ABTCHA
.....2. You have to furnish your full name
.....3. Give your address, where prompted
(I hope I didn't miss anything?)
4. If you have problems getting registered, Brad Roe can help you out. Send him an email at brad.roe@smdc.army.mil

The Assoc. has finally turned someone loose to give us a good website and Brad is working hard to make it something useful. Lets show our support by registering and using it.

Thanks John! All, just make sure when you are registering you fill in all the blanks with an * , if you leave one of those fields blank it will not allow you to register. I will tell you this if you don't put your mailing address in the signature block I will not approve your account. You will be able to go in and erase you address once you have been given access, this is only to confirm.
