Started at 6pm & just got home a half hour ago. Had 3 dens, 2 slicks, 1 deer chase & 1 possum!!! It started snowing at 5 & I had a feeling it wasn't gonna turn out good. Our first snow of the year & a dry one at that. It's gonna have to get a whole lot better than this before I learn to like it, lol. But on the other hand, we came home with all hounds & no injuries so it wasn't a total loss.

You might go to the very same place tomorrow night and tree 5 singles with the same dogs.

It sounds like you need to get rid of those walkers and get yourself a couple of Redbones. Your hunts will be a lot more enjoyable.

A friend of my taught me years ago the first snow of the season is the worst one to hunt .And coon don't normally like to move in the dry powdery snows .So you got a double whammy on your hunt.
