Chuck intestinal fortitude was prevalent in this group of men! I think one thing that has always amazed me was how this generation filed the atrocities they were witness to somewhere deep and never lose the ability to love and live.

I work for Dynamic Aviation in Bridgewater, Virginia. My boss has a DC-3, which is a C-47 in military terms. Exact same airplane. He restored it himself. He flw in formation over France along with others to commemorate D-Day. He is still in Europe but now in Wiesbaden, Germany. It was,no doubt I'm sure, one of the most awesome times. Wish I could have been there. Rob Gregory

Guts, grit, intestinal fortitude, what ever you want to call it, the men from that time period put most of us (especially me) to shame. I heard a radio broadcast of an interview with one of the soldiers from the invasion. He said, "I became a man that day. I remember being scared to death, and then suddenly I wasn't scared anymore. I did what I had to do." Those words just blew me away!
